Confucianism in modern Korea

This a continues part about Confucianism in modern Korea

  1. One thing I've always contemplated, especially after my time in Japan, is the effects of confucianism on the actual development of language (as in both the Korean and Japanese languages). The lexical and grammatical changes in the language depending on the power relationship between the two people, I imagine, can be traced back to confucianism, leading me to wonder: Would this idea still be so strong today if the Korean and Japanese languages did NOT adjust their language hundreds of years ago to accommodate for this?
